WHAT IS THE KLYNG CUP?
The KLYNG CUP (www.KLYNGCup.com) is Canada’s largest and most dynamic inter-club pickleball league, bringing clubs together across the country in a team-based format.
Competition takes place across the main skill brackets:
2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0+ (up to 4.8), plus a Bonus Bracket: Senior 50+ Open (4.5+ or equivalent).
Unlike traditional tournaments, KLYNG CUP is a club-versus-club team competition running from April to November. Clubs earn points, improve ladder positions, and develop players at every level.
Each matchup features 4 main brackets, with each bracket acting as a team within the team. Every bracket is equally important, giving all players meaningful roles in representing their club.
The season concludes with the KLYNG CUP Championships, where the Top 8 Clubs compete for the championship title.
KLYNG CUP blends competition, community, and club development — helping clubs grow membership, culture, and structured player pathways.

- 1 Spring Champion
Summer & Fall Seasons

🏆 Final Championship Qualification – Top 8 Clubs
Step 1: Lock in Unique Season Champions (5 Spots)
- Each champion earns an automatic Final spot
- A club can only hold one Final position
⚠️ Multi-Season Champion Rule
If a club wins multiple seasons/pools:
- That club still occupies only one Final spot
- Additional qualification spot(s) will be reassigned
➡️ Reassignment:
- Goes to the next highest-ranked club (by win-loss ratio) from that same season/pool
Step 2: Fill Remaining Spots (3 Spots)
- Remove already qualified clubs
- Rank remaining clubs across all seasons
- Based on overall win-loss ratio
- Select top clubs until 8 total Final teams are confirmed
⚖️ Tiebreaker Rules (Official)
If two or more clubs are tied when determining:
- Season standings
- Final qualification
- Final seeding
The following tiebreakers will be applied in order:
- Match Wins (Total Points Earned)
- Head-to-Head Match Wins Between Tied Teams
- Overall Point Differential (All Games)
- Head-to-Head Point Differential Between Tied Teams
- Point Differential vs Next-Ranked Team
✔ These rules ensure a fair and performance-based ranking system
✔ All calculations are based on official match results recorded in the KLYNG CUP system
🪜 Final Seeding
- Seeding is determined by overall win-loss ratio across all seasons
🔥 Important:
- Clubs should continue competing even after qualification
- Better ratio = better seed = strategic advantage
🆕 How New Clubs Can Qualify
- Win a season/pool (auto-qualification)
- Or rank high in win-loss ratio
✔ Late entry does NOT eliminate qualification chances
⚖️ Physical Clubs vs Virtual Clubs
Physical Clubs
- Flexible roster from club members
- Can adjust lineup throughout the season
Virtual Clubs
- Maximum 10 players per team per season
- Must submit a fixed roster
- Cannot use players outside roster
🚨 Exception:
- Injury or special circumstances
- Must be approved by KLYNG CUP Committee
