Carolyn Stevens
Carolyn Stevens resides in St. Thomas Ontario but normally spends her winters in Florence AZ.
Her background in a variety of sports including squash and tennis made it easy for her to transition to pickleball over 10 years ago. She has competed at the highest level in the US and has won a number of gold medals at 5.0 in both women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
She is involved with pickleball both on and off the court. She was a board member of the INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF PICKLEBALL (IFP) for two years. During that time she traveled to China to present on behalf of the IFP to Chinese Sport and Tourism officials to help grow the sport throughout China. In Canada she was an executive and board member of PICKLEBALL CANADA for 5 years helping to make it the fastest growing sport in Canada. She is currently a Level 2 Referee.
Within Ontario she is a highly respected coach to both recreational and tournament players. She holds
professional level coaching status with the PROFESSIONAL PICKLEBALL REGISTRY (PPR). She has been successful at helping new players understand and execute the basic shots so they can start having fun.
With more advanced players her focus during clinics and coaching sessions is primarily on-court positioning, shot sequencing and /playing to team strengths and weaknesses.
During the spring and summer you will find her at the London Hunt Club where she is the head pickleball professional. In addition to coaching she sets up and runs the entire pickleball program there including leagues, socials, intercommunity competitive events, club championships and fund raising events.
